During psychodietetic sessions, we focus on building healthy relationship with food. We will help you understand your body’s needs and emotions that may influence your food choices. Together, we will develop eating routine that feels natural for you while supporting your health and well-being.

In moments of stress, sadness or anger, food can easily become a way to relieve tension. While it provides temporary relief, in the long run it can lead to uncontrolled weight gain, health problems or eating disorders.

Through cooperation with psychodietitian, you will learn to identify emotional eating triggers and discover techniques to help you cope with emotions without reaching for extra snacks. We will focus on strengthening self-control, helping you make mindful choices about when and what to eat and building healthier eating habits.

Did you know that eating disorders can lead to deterioration of physical and mental health?

Anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder are just some of the eating disorders that can lead to other health issues, such as hormonal imbalances, heart problems or depressive states.

Working with psychodietitian, when dealing with eating disorders, is a multifaceted process that involves both psychological support and nutritional education.

During psychodietetic consultations, we focus on building a healthy relationship with food and your body. We help identify and understand the mechanisms that lead to unhealthy eating patterns. An important part of the process also involves working on emotions – we teach how to manage stress, anxiety and need for excessive control, which are often at the root of eating disorders.

Nutritional education is another key aspect of the process. Together, we work on changing your approach to food, learning how to recognize hunger and fullness cues, plan healthy and balanced meals and enjoy eating without guilt. Our goal is to create a safe space where you can gradually change your eating habits and develop positive body image.

How do we work?

Together, we will work with you to create a process that you can follow. Combination of our experience, flexibility of cooperation and capabilities of modern technology will provide you with full support on the way to achieving your goals.

Defining goals and choosing path of cooperation

  • During first consultation, we focus on getting to know you and your eating history. Together, we analyze your readiness for change and resources you already have that can help make it easier.

  • We set goals for our cooperation, outline approximate course and duration of it and choose the best path, that will allow you to comfortably follow through with our joint plans.

  • We introduce self-observation tools to help us identify the root cause of your eating problems. You will have easy access to these tools through a convenient mobile application.

Rebuilding your relationship with food

  • We meet regularly on follow-up consultations. During the initial stage of our collaboration (first 3 months), we recommend meeting at least once every two weeks.

  • We analyze self-observation journal, which you have been keeping. We talk about how your thinking patterns and emotions affect your food choices.

  • We teach you techniques for managing emotional eating and cravings. We provide exercise cards for independent work to help you regain control.

Working on eating habits

  • We help you develop comfortable eating routine that suits your needds and capabilities. We provide you with practical knowledge about healthy eating.

  • Optionally, we can create for you personalized nutrition plan, which may include recipe ideas or whole meal plan. Mobile application will support you in changing your habits, without feeling like you were on a strict diet.

  • We stay involved and responsive. We talk about potential challenges, find solutions and adjust the action plan if needed.

Supporting your independence

  • By the time you finish working with psychodietitian, you will have all necessary tools to maintain results you have achieved together and handle any challenging situations that may come up in the future. You can still use mobile application and keep access to all the know-how. Additionally, you will have database of more than 7000 recipes at your disposal, providing continuous culinary inspiration. Think of the app as a tool to support the ongoing development of your own nutrition system.
