What is Compleat TRI-ATHLETE PRO package and what does it involve?
Compleat TRI-ATHLETE PRO package combines the following assessments: REST (evaluation of Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) and energy substrate utilization at rest), BODY (skinfold measurements according to the international ISAK protocol, along with body mass and composition analysis using BIA) and ACTIVE (spirometry and ergospirometry testing), which is conducted using both cycle ergometer and treadmill.
When is it a good idea to perform tests?
With TRI-ATHLETE PRO package, we provide athletes, coaches and sports dietitians with complete set of tools that enables:
- identification of limiting factors of athlete
- more effective implementation of nutrition and supplementation strategies
- analysis and understanding of data collected during classic performance tests (VO2max, FATmax, BF, VE, VT, training zones, thresholds)
- improvement of athlete’s weakest physiological systems
- more efficient planning and monitoring of training programs
- detailed assessment of functioning of cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic systems
Preparation and proceeding
Tests will take approximately 3 hours. Please arrive in a fasted state. Bring with you carbohydrate-based snack (such as an energy gel or banana) to eat before ACTIVE part, as well as a meal (such as a shake or sandwich), to eat after all the tests are complete.
After the tests
After the tests, your data will be analyzed and presented in a report, from which you’ll learn, among other things:
- how many calories you burn at rest and what is your total daily energy requirement
- how efficiently your body uses fat at rest
- your skinfold thickness, body fat percentage and muscle mass
- at which point during exercise you maximize fat burning (FATmax)
- what are your training zones
- how quickly you recover
